So I just saw this cool feature in the LA Times about a mobile yarn shop in the LA area. Taking a cue from the ubiquitous food trucks that have decended upon urban America, the Yarnover Truck operates out of a converted delivery vehicle, and sells local yarns. But while there are over 5000 food trucks in the LA area, there is just one yarn truck. The brainchild of knitting enthusiasts Maridee Nelson and Barbra Pushies, the Yarnover Truck can be found at local farmers’ markets, art and music fairs, festivals, yarn crawls and other events. Check out the out the story at the LA Times. Could this be the start of a national trend?
