An End of Summer Fiber Vacation: The Fiber College of Maine

fibercollofmainThe Fiber College of Maine is an annual celebration fiber in coastal Maine with an eclectic mix of fiber classes, fiber animals, and good food (think beach bonfires and chowder). Add to that a Shopper’s Boulevard to supply your fiber needs, and you have a wonderful end-of-summer fiber fest. This year’s festivities will kick off with a fiber fashion show organized by the Women of St. Margaret’s and Fiber College on Thursday, September 5, with classes to follow on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Here is a quick overview of the classes:

Most half day classes are $69, and most full day classes $139 plus a materials fee.  There are a variety of lodging options- everything from a campsite to a starving artist bunk to local hotels and inns.
